Gawai Celebration 2007
Selamat Hari Gawai! A year has gone by and its Gawai again. How time flies... Yesterday, my family and I went to visit Adreana's kampung which is located somewhere on the way up to Serian. We went to her kampung at about noon time and it took us quite some time before we found her kampung. When we finally reached her kampung, we're just in time for lunch...haha! We were served with delicious food, drinks, cakes, and all kinds of titbits. No doubt Andreana's mom and sister can cook really well. Especially the pork and curry chicken. I couldn't remember how many servings I took too..haha!

After visiting Andreana's house, her mom brought us over to her brother and sister's houses too. Over there, we ate again...lol!

After visiting those few houses, we joined in the procession with the other villagers. We walked pass houses in the kampung with the sound of gongs, dayak music and some traditional dances.

Not only did the villagers had fun but we were all having fun too. After a long day celebrating Gawai with the villagers, we headed back home at almost 5pm. By then, we were all tired and exhauted but happy. Selamat Hari Gawai to everyone again. Gayu guru gerai nyamai. :)
