KLWMBC 2008 Roadshow at The Spring, Kuching Sarawak

Kuala Lumpur World Marching Band Competition (KLWMBC) 2008 will be holding their 6th roadshow at The Spring Shopping Centre, Kuching, Sarawak this coming June 29. Among the exciting itinerary for the day includes: performances by the Marching Band; colouring contest for children, quizzes, lucky draw and fun games.

The roadshow starts at 11.00 am and ends at 10.00 pm. It will be held at North Court, The Spring Shopping Centre, Kuching, Sarawak.The purpose of this roadshow is to promote and publicize the upcoming 5-days marching band competition which is scheduled to run from July 30 to August 3. KLWMBC’s objective is to inculcate the sense of teamwork, harmony and international cooperation through a common interest in marching bands.

The actual competition will see the participation of over 20 marching bands with more than 2,000 members from North America, Europe, South Africa, Asia Pacific and Far East. It is also a benchmarking point for Malaysian bands to compete internationally. The finals of KLWMBC will be held at Stadium Merdeka on August 3, 2008.

Come and show your support for our KLWMBC on this June 29 and be entertained!

p/s: St Joseph School Marching Show Band will be performing from 12pm-1pm and 4pm-5pm. Do please come and show some support. :D

Sarawak State Marching Band Competition 2008

The Sarawak State Marching Band Competition 2008 was held a few hours ago in the Hockey Stadium. Six marching bands participated in this event which are St Joseph, Miri; St Columba, Miri; St Joseph, Kuching; SMK Green Road, Kuching; SMK Bintulu and SMK Chung Hua, Miri.

Selamat Hari Gawai

Selamat Hari Gawai to all Ibans and Dayaks. Today is the first day of a new month..1st June 2008! Lots of things to do this month. Got to discuss and prepare for a play by next month. Lots of preparation and practices to be done for the play. Next on the list, State Level Marching Band Competition will be on 12 June 2008 in the Hockey Stadium. Quite a number of marching bands from all over the state will be participating in the competition. To name a few, St Joseph School Marching Show Band and Green Road School Marching Band from Kuching and a few more marching bands from Miri including St Joseph School Marching Band and Chung Hua School Marching Band. So guys, don't forget to go to the Hockey Stadium on 12 June 2008 to support your favourite band. The time for the competition will be in the evening at around 6pm if I'm not wrong. There will also be another performance for CM's birthday on 21 June 2008 in RTM Auditorium by SONS. Starting from 17 June 2008, practices will be everyday in preparation for CM's birthday. Last but not least, to Jeffery, Karen, Aloysius, Semantha, Gloria, Rebecca, Michelle, Jason and all June babes, Happy Birthday to you all! Most of them who're mentioned here will be turning 21 this month so a very Happy 21st Birthday to all of you. :D
